On July 18, a special Ceylon Tea Promotional Walk was held in London, retracing the historic tea trail from 1870. The event celebrated Ceylon Tea and its rich history in the UK market.
Sri Lankan High Commissioner Rohitha Bogollagama joined the walk, which was led by Dananjaya Silva, Managing Director of PMD Tea Ltd. The route included iconic spots like Leadenhall Market, the old East India Company building, Mincing Lane (famous for the largest tea auction), the River Thames, and St. Katherine’s Dock, once the world's largest tea dock and warehouse.
This walk is part of the ongoing efforts by the Sri Lankan High Commission to promote Ceylon Tea and strengthen cultural and economic ties with the UK.
